Merry Christmas from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am here today to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, and to share one last Christmas card with you.

This cute little stamp set if from Newton's Nook Designs and it is called Holiday Hounds.  My husband and I have friends that own a blonde Miniature Dachshund.  I knew right away that I had to create their Christmas card with this set.  I even made the Doxie blonde to match.  The paper is from KaiserKraft.  I used two ribbons on this card from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store; Snowflakes on Forest Green Grosgrain Ribbon and 5/8" Satin Swirls Red Ribbon.  I made both bows with my Bow-It-All Tool which Bonnie carries in the store.  I layered them together with hot glue.

Travel

Hi there crafty peeps!  It is time again for a new challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous.  Gloria is challenging us to use our hoard to create something travel related.

Many of us travel around the holidays, so let's celebrate our adventures! Dig into your hoard and find some items that are vacation or travel themed. Do you have a hoard of cruise ship ephemera? Do you have a box of transportation stamps? Do you have a stash of camping themed papers? Or piles of Disney embellishments? Show them off! Create a vacation or travel themed project for us!

I don't usually blog about my scrapbooking, but it is how I started in this wonderful papercrafting hobby.  I decided to create a layout from one of the pictures of my husband and I during our Honeymoon in Disney World.  All of the papers and embellishments were taken from my overflowing stash of Disney related items I have been collecting for my album.  I hope you enjoy.  Head on over to the other DT blogs to see what fun things they have created!

Hi there crafty peeps!  It's Amber here, and I have another Holiday card to share with you today with beautiful lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created this card with the Home For the Holidays stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I colored the images with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out.  I then created a background sky with distress inks and the Stitched Slopes and Hills die from Simon Says Stamp.  The Sentiment was stamped from a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Deck the Halls.  I added finishing touches with some snow on the tree and then some sequins.

I wanted to add a pretty feminine touch to the card that would tie it all together.  I took some Karen Lace available in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store and created a bow with my Bow-It-All tool.  I hope you enjoy my simple but sweet Holiday card.  Head on over to the store to scoop up some goodies to add a special touch to all of your Christmas cards this season.  Have a wonderful day!

Really Reasonable Ribbon December Blog Hop

Hey there!  Today is the day for the December Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The design team and I have cooked up some beautiful projects with the new Winter Wonderland Mix.

For my project, I decided to make a holiday card with two of the ribbons in the assortment.
It can be used for Christmas or winter which is perfect!

The images and sentiment is from My Favorite Things and it is called Cool day by Birdie Brown. I colored it all with my Copic Markers. I then created a background with my Distress inks and the snowflake stamp stamped randomly with white Memento Luxe ink.  I made a double layer bow with Delicate Stitched Satin Shell Gray and 3/8" Satin with Silver Metallic Edges Blue Topaz.  I added sparkle with Wink of Stella markers in silver and clear.  I finished the card off with a variety of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and Simon Says Stamp.  I am entering this card for the current sketch challenge taking place at My Favorite Things.  I hope you enjoy.  Head on over to Bonnie's Blog which is the next on our hop.  Have a wonderful crafty day!

Inspiration Photo Challenge

Hi there crafty peeps!  Today I am sharing with you my inspiration for the newest challenge at the Craft Room Challenge Blog.  I am sad to say this will be our last challenge for this blog.  It has been a tough year for all of us do to other commitments and we have decided it is time to bow out gracefully.  So with that said here is my card.

I was inspired by the winter snow-covered trees and the blues and grays of the photos.  I hope you enjoy and head on over to the blog to link up your projects.

Tags Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi there!  I am back today to share with you my inspiration for the new challenge going on at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

I used a vintage tag image from Crafty Secrets for the main image on the tag.  I matted it on to red glitter card stock, and then matted that onto green embossed card stock.  I then added a border of glitter on the edge of the image with Pumice Stone Distress Glitter.  I made a small floral embellishment with flowers and picks from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I just love the Silver Spiral Stamens!

Nothing finishes off a tag and brings it all together more than the ribbons you add at the top.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many beautiful ribbons and trims to help with this.  I used plaid Christmas Ribbon, silver metallic grosgrain, red burlap string, and white jute string.

Shabby Chic Christmas Canvas

Hi there crafty peeps!  It's Amber, and I am here today to share a Shabby Chic Christmas mixed media canvas I made with ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

I took a blank 5x7 canvas and created texture on it with white Gesso, embossing paste mixed with Spun Sugar distress stain, old book paper, pearlized modeling paste, and distress glitter in Antique Linen.  I then wrapped the bottom of the canvas with 1.5" white netting and Diamond Satin Mineral Ice ribbon. I layered a vintage Santa image with gold glitter paper and pink cardstock.  I then added Victoria White Crochet Lace around all of the edges.  I made a bow with the same Diamond Satin ribbon and my Bow-It-All tool.  I then added some white glittery jingle bells to the center.  I added the word joy to the side of the canvas.

I created a flower arrangement with a handmade pink poinsettia cut from my Distressed Poinsettia die from Tim Holtz.  I distressed it with Frantage Shabby White embossing enamel.  I added some Roses, Magnolia flowers, and white leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon stocks a wide variety of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts?  Isn't that great?!

I just love how this canvas turned out, and I can't wait to proudly display it in my house for the Holiday.  I hope you like it too, and create something fun with your ribbons for the Christmas season. Have a wonderful day!
