Really Reasonable Ribbon December Blog Hop

Hi there crafty ribbon lovers!  Today is the day for the December Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The design team and I have come up some beautiful projects with the new Beautiful Blues ribbon club assortment

If you are following along you should have come here from Jennifer's Blog.  If not, head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to start at the beginning.

This month I decided to alter a mini crate box I picked up from Hobby Lobby quite a while ago.  I wanted to make something to hold the Christmas cards from this year.

I painted the box with Picket Fence and Broken China Distress paint.  I then added a silvery shimmer with Distress Pewter stain.  After that was all dry I added a band of Light Blue Netting and Light Navy Satin with Grosgrain Edge around the middle of the box.  I adhered a silver glitter die cut made from one of my Spellbinders dies to the right side of the box front.  I created several bows from Light Navy Satin with Grosgrain Edge, Blue Topaz Argyle Print on White Satin, and Silver Metallic String.  I then adhered them to the top of the die cut.  I then cut out a Poinsettia from an MFT die with white, yellow, and green MFT felt.  I adhered that to the top of the bows.  I finished it off with a Navy blue flat backed pearl.

I hope you enjoy the Christmas card holder I created with the beautiful new ribbons from the December Ribbon Assortment.  Now head on over to Bonnie's Blog which is the next on our hop.  Have a wonderful crafty day!
