Thank you

I whipped up this little creation for the Sketch Challenge over at TSG.  I just love the "Sweet Pea" stamp set, and thought it would be perfect for this sketch.

I used This and That 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park for this card.  The twine is from American Crafts.  I added a little sparkle to the flowers with Stickles in Diamond.  I decided to finish the card with some faux stitching.  I hope you like this little beauty.  Have a wonderful day, and to those that celebrate Happy Easter!

Love You!

I made this card for this weeks anything goes challenge at TSG.  I adore this little PI girl from MFT called Dress Up Diva.  She is perfect for a Mother's Day card.

I colored her with Copics markers.  I added Perfect Pearls and Stickles to her necklace and boa to add a little sparkle and shine.  The paper is from Authentique.  I just love how girly this card is, and how the little PI girl turned out.  I think this will be going to my mom for Mother's Day this year.  I hope you like it as much as I do.  Have a wonderful week!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is a quick post I am writing before I leave on vacation today.  I made this card today for the Anything Goes Challenge at ATS, and for the Color Challenge at TSG.

I just love this adorable stamp set from ATS called "Irish Emma".  All of the papers I used were in the St. Patrick's Day section of my local scrapbooking store (Rochester Scrapbooking Company).  I thought they fit perfectly with this image.  I colored her in with my Copics markers. I used Perfect Pearls in Emerald to fill in the little shamrocks on her dress.  The die cuts are C.C. designs Lucky Charms from ATS.  The sentiment is from AmyR Stamps Lucky Sentiments stamp set.  The twine is from American Crafts.  I hope you enjoy this quick post and card.  Have a wonderful St. Patty's Day!

Sister Act Design Team Call

Hi everyone!  Well here I go.  I have felt that my heart has been calling me to apply to be part of a design team for a long time, but I have shied away thinking I needed more experience.  With the encouragement of several friends and family, I have decided to take a leap.  My dad always told me growing up "you are destined to fail if you never try".  The design team I am trying out for is a new and exciting challenge blog where anything goes.  Can you get a better challenge than that?  What a great way to show off all your creativity.

I have been an avid scrapbooker and card maker since 2009.  Last year I started working a lot more with stamps, and decided I wanted to share my cards with the rest of the creative community online with a blog.  It has been such a wonderful outlet for my creativity, and a great way to meet new people.  It took a lot of time to pick out just three of my best cards but I have decided to showcase the three mediums I use to color my cards with.  I am starting with a card that used my Tim Holtz Distress markers, since this is the first medium I used for card making/stamping.

The next card I am showcasing is colored with the second medium I worked with.  I wanted to try alcohol markers, but didn't want to make the huge investment in Copic markers to start.  I did a lot of research on alternatives and found Spectrum Noir markers made by Crafter's Companion.  These are a wonderful and economical alternative for crafters that want to try alcohol markers, but don't want to drop a lot of cash initially.

The third and final card I have decided to showcase is a card I created with my newest medium, Copic markers.  Okay okay... so I know they aren't technically an entirely new medium.  They are still alcohol markers, but they have an entirely different feel than the Spectrum Noir markers.  I thought it would be an easy transition from one to the other, but it was not as easy as I thought.  They really took a while to learn how to use them.  I by no means can claim to be an expert at using them since I only started about four months ago, but I feel like I get better and better each time I color with them.  I love these markers!  They are very pricey, but I can honestly say they are worth every penny.

These are just a sampling of my passion in life.  It was SO hard to pick only three cards, but I hope all of you enjoy them.  My goal with every one of my cards is to brighten the day of my recipients, and to inspire others that view them.  Please visit my blog to see all of my other creations.  Have a wonderful week, and as always stay crafty!

Welcome Spring

I made this card for the Paper Piecing challenge at ATS and the Case challenge at TSG.  The card I cased was a super cute card made by Torico for the TSG Blog Hop Challenge Day 1.

I hope you enjoy this card and it brings you some spring cheer!  A list of materials will be at the end of this post.  Have a wonderful first week of March.
