Luck Of The Irish

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share an adorable vintage St. Patrick's Day card using papers and digi images from Polly's Paper Studio and gorgeous ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

I used two different patterned papers for my background matting.  I then tied Emerald Plaid Ribbon around the top and tied a cute bow.  I layered several digi images to create a focal point to the card popping a few up on foam squares.  It is hard to see on camera but I also added a abundance of Clear Wink of Stella to the images for some subtle sparkle.  I hope you enjoy this fun green themed Lucky card.  Have a wonderful day!

Watercolor Valentine

Hi crafty peeps!  I am back today to share one last Valentine's Day card in honor of the day today.  I added a beautiful band and bow made from ribbon that can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I used several shades of mauve and red along with Bronze shimmer watercolors from my Gansai Tambi watercolor set to create an artful background.  I then die cut a heart from 40lb velum and heat embossed my sentiment and hearts onto it with bright white embossing powder by WOW.  I then attached the velum heart to the watercolor panel.  I mounted the watercolor panel to an A2 white base that has 7/8" White Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon wrapped around it.  I also wrapped Washi tape from my collection around the ribbon as well.  I created a double looped bow with the same 7/8" White Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon and adhered that to the panel.  As a final touch I added some gold glitter enamel dots and clear rhinestones.  The whole thing was then foam mounted to an A2 card base.  I hope you enjoy my card and have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Really Reasonable Ribbon February Blog Hop

Hi there crafty ribbon lovers!  Today is the day for the February Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The design team and I have come up some beautiful projects with the new Gorgeously Green Collection.

If you are following along you should have come here from Jennifer's Blog.  If not, head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to start at the beginning.

I created this super cute St. Patty's Day card for the hop using a couple of the new products from MFT out this month and two of the gorgeous ribbons in this months kit.  First, I die cut the rainbow out 6 times with all of the colors in the rainbow.  I then pieced it together on white cardstock and cut it out.  I added some Wink of Stella to the rainbow to make it sparkle.  I then stamped the shamrocks out onto Copic cardstock with memento ink.  I colored them with my Copic markers and then fussy cut them out.  I placed both the rainbow and shamrocks onto a white panel that I inked with Distress Tumbled Glass ink and an ink blending tool.  The rainbow and top shamrock are popped up with foam tape.  The shamrocks then got covered with Journey Glaze.  I stamped my sentiment in the upper left corner of the panel.  I mounted the panel onto a piece of gold foil cardstock, and then mounted that onto another white piece of cardstock.  I added some faux stitched lines for a little detail.  Finally I added the entire panel to a white card base that had Pistachio Satin Ribbon and Mixed Greens Vertical Stripes Satin Ribbon wrapped around to create a belly band.

I hope you enjoyed my cute St. Patty's Day card using the new Gorgeously Green Collection.  Now head on over to Bonnie's Blog which is the next on our hop.  Have a wonderful crafty day!

Easter Wishes

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share a card I made with some beautiful pink ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.  I am sitting here in the middle of a blizzard in SE MN and all I can think about is spring with its hope of new life and flowers stating to dot the landscape.  I decided to get a jump on some Easter themed cards to cheer me up!

Isn't this retro little duckling just the cutest!?  All of my images and papers came from Polly's Paper on Etsy.  This was so easy and fun to paper piece all of her great digi images.  I also added some beautiful 7/8" and 5/8" pink gingham ribbon as a perfect finishing touch to the card.  I also put a thin coat of crystal Stickles to the flowers on the duck image.  I hope you enjoy my card and it puts you in the mood for spring.  Have a wonderful day!
