Things with Wings

Hi everyone, I am back today with some inspiration for the latest challenge over at the Craft Room. Annie is challenging us to create a project with wings. I have had this Graphic 45 stamp set for a while and I thought would be perfect for this challenge. I colored the Stork and sweet little baby with my Copic markers. The patterned paper is New Beginnings from Webster's Pages. The cardstock is from MFT. The ribbon is from RRR. I hope you enjoy the inspiration. Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge 8

I am back today to share my inspiration for the latest challenge over at Craft Hoarders Anonymous. Gloria is challenging us to use metal or glass.

Do you hoard gears, pins, brads, eyelets, frames, and other metal do-dads? Do you have a thing for tiny light bulbs and glass vials? Do junk drawers make you giddy? Do you hang out in office supply stores so you can score funky paperclips? Do bottle caps make you swoon? Dig through your hoard to find something metal or glass (or both) and make a project to share!

I decided to make a clean and simple card this time. I used two shades of my favorite color pink to stamp the pretty butterfly from Sin City Stamps. I stamped four flying up the card and two extras that I fussy cut out and popped up for added effect. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used several metal brads from Graphic 45 to embellish my bow and butterflies. The sentiment is from Sin City Stamps as well. I finished the card by rounding the corners and adding some clear Wink of Stella to the butterflies. It is hard to get a good picture of the beautiful sparkle, but you can see it on the bottom butterfly.

Recycled Wooden Box and Graphic 45

Hi everyone! Well it is a new fortnight and that means a new challenge up at the Craft-Room Blog. Esther is challenging us to recycle something for our projects. I have had this round wooden box that held caramels around forever in the hopes of making it into something pretty. When this challenge came up I knew it was a perfect time to use it.

I used the Graphic 45 Collection called By the Sea to decorate my box along with some red cardstock for matting. I inked the edges of the box with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I fussy cut out the sea shells and light house from the paper line and popped them up with pop dots. I added glitter to the seashells. The ribbon around the box top and the two bows are both from Really Reasonable Ribbon's May Ribbon Club kit. The flowers are mulberry flowers from Etsy. Finally the focal image is a vintage printable from Etsy. I thought it fit perfectly with the theme.

Roses and Romance Challenge

Hi all! I am a little late posting this, but I figure better late than never. Debi is challenging us to use the theme roses and romance for this fortnight's challenge at the Craft Room. Our sponsor is Crafty Individuals. Below is the card I created for my challenge inspiration.

I used a Prima Paintables image colored with Tim Holtz Distress markers and my water brush. I added some glitz to the roses with my Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker. The paper is from MME. I have tucked a small panel of embossed velum behind the picture. The mulberry flowers are from Etsy. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Cutting Garden.
