Merry Christmas from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am here today to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, and to share one last Christmas card with you.

This cute little stamp set if from Newton's Nook Designs and it is called Holiday Hounds.  My husband and I have friends that own a blonde Miniature Dachshund.  I knew right away that I had to create their Christmas card with this set.  I even made the Doxie blonde to match.  The paper is from KaiserKraft.  I used two ribbons on this card from the Really Reasonable Ribbon storeSnowflakes on Forest Green Grosgrain Ribbon and 5/8" Satin Swirls Red Ribbon.  I made both bows with my Bow-It-All Tool which Bonnie carries in the store.  I layered them together with hot glue.

I hope you enjoy this simple but sweet little card.  Have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year!

Travel

Hi there crafty peeps!  It is time again for a new challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous.  Gloria is challenging us to use our hoard to create something travel related.

Many of us travel around the holidays, so let's celebrate our adventures! Dig into your hoard and find some items that are vacation or travel themed. Do you have a hoard of cruise ship ephemera? Do you have a box of transportation stamps? Do you have a stash of camping themed papers? Or piles of Disney embellishments? Show them off! Create a vacation or travel themed project for us!

I don't usually blog about my scrapbooking, but it is how I started in this wonderful papercrafting hobby.  I decided to create a layout from one of the pictures of my husband and I during our Honeymoon in Disney World.  All of the papers and embellishments were taken from my overflowing stash of Disney related items I have been collecting for my album.  I hope you enjoy.  Head on over to the other DT blogs to see what fun things they have created!

Jolly Holly Days

Hi there crafty peeps!  It's Amber here, and I have another Holiday card to share with you today with beautiful lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created this card with the Home For the Holidays stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I colored the images with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out.  I then created a background sky with distress inks and the Stitched Slopes and Hills die from Simon Says Stamp.  The Sentiment was stamped from a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Deck the Halls.  I added finishing touches with some snow on the tree and then some sequins.

I wanted to add a pretty feminine touch to the card that would tie it all together.  I took some Karen Lace available in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store and created a bow with my Bow-It-All tool.  I hope you enjoy my simple but sweet Holiday card.  Head on over to the store to scoop up some goodies to add a special touch to all of your Christmas cards this season.  Have a wonderful day!

The images and sentiment is from My Favorite Things and it is called Cool day by Birdie Brown. I colored it all with my Copic Markers. Tags Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi there!  I am back today to share with you my inspiration for the new challenge going on at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

I used a vintage tag image from Crafty Secrets for the main image on the tag.  I matted it on to red glitter card stock, and then matted that onto green embossed card stock.  I then added a border of glitter on the edge of the image with Pumice Stone Distress Glitter.  I made a small floral embellishment with flowers and picks from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I just love the Silver Spiral Stamens!

Nothing finishes off a tag and brings it all together more than the ribbons you add at the top.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many beautiful ribbons and trims to help with this.  I used plaid Christmas Ribbon, silver metallic grosgrain, red burlap string, and white jute string.

I hope you enjoy my vintage Christmas tag, and join in the fun with your own tag!  Have a wonderful day.

I am entering this tag for the current linky party going on at Crafty Secrets.  The themes are Christmas, Calenders, or Cooking.

Shabby Chic Christmas Canvas

Hi there crafty peeps!  It's Amber, and I am here today to share a Shabby Chic Christmas mixed media canvas I made with ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

I took a blank 5x7 canvas and created texture on it with white Gesso, embossing paste mixed with Spun Sugar distress stain, old book paper, pearlized modeling paste, and distress glitter in Antique Linen.  I then wrapped the bottom of the canvas with 1.5" white netting and Diamond Satin Mineral Ice ribbon. I layered a vintage Santa image with gold glitter paper and pink cardstock.  I then added Victoria White Crochet Lace around all of the edges.  I made a bow with the same Diamond Satin ribbon and my Bow-It-All tool.  I then added some white glittery jingle bells to the center.  I added the word joy to the side of the canvas.

I created a flower arrangement with a handmade pink poinsettia cut from my Distressed Poinsettia die from Tim Holtz.  I distressed it with Frantage Shabby White embossing enamel.  I added some Roses, Magnolia flowers, and white leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon stocks a wide variety of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts?  Isn't that great?!

I just love how this canvas turned out, and I can't wait to proudly display it in my house for the Holiday.  I hope you like it too, and create something fun with your ribbons for the Christmas season. Have a wonderful day!

I am linking up my project for the following challenges.  Go check them out there is some amazing inspiration at all of these sites!

I created this lovely serene Christmas card with one of my favorite new stamp purchases from Power Poppy.  I absolutely love Marcella Hawley's images, and this one is no exception.

I colored the image up with my Copic markers and added some Stickles in Frosted Lace for the snow. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I stamped it with Memento Luxe Nautical Blue ink.  I created the background first by cutting out the colored image with my Spellbinders Labels Thirty One die set.  I then masked off the image with masking paper and created a background with Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Dusty Concord, and Chipped Sapphire.  I sprayed some Lindy's Stamp Gang spray on top to create a snowy look.  I left the metal die on the paper while inking the background to create a white frame.  The paper is from the Bo Bunny Powder Mountain collection. The silver cord in from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It adds the perfect accent without taking away from the colored scene.
We have a wonderful prize up for grabs to one lucky winner, so make sure you head over to the challenge blog and join in.  Now go and see what the other DT members have cooked up for inspiration.

Christmas Decor Challenge at the Craft Room Bog

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am sharing today a Christmas Décor project I made for the new challenge up on the Craft Room Challenge Blog.  I have 6 décor blocks that I got in a kit from my local scrapbooking store.  They each have a small nail in them that allows you to hang 6 tags.  I change them with every season/holiday.  I decided to get a head start on my Christmas decorating, and created some tags to hang on them.  They spell out "Joyful".

I used green paper from Hobby Lobby for mats.  The patterned paper is from the "Hollyday" collection by American Crafts.  I created the bows with my Bow It All tool and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The green gems are from BoBunny and the poinsettia glitter embellishments are Recollections from Michaels.  Head on over to the blog to see the rest of the inspiration and to join in the challenge!

Happy Holidays Shaker Card and Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hey there crafty peeps!  Today I am sharing a shaker card I made over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.

I created the shaker part of this card with a nested ticket die set from Sizzix and a beautiful acetate sheet that was printed with a cardinal image.  The frame was made with some silver glitter cardstock. I filled it with sequins from my overly large collection ( I am in love with sequins).  I stamped the "Happy Holidays" sentiment on the acetate with Jet Black Staz-On ink.

I then added a spectacular bow using some wonderful ribbons and cording from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop.  I first wrapped a length of Wavy Vertical Stripe Red/White Satin Ribbon.  I then wrapped Metallic Silver String around the card four times.  I created a bow with my Bow-it-All tool out of both of the above and adhered them layered onto the card.  I then adhered a white button and red glitter enamel dot on top to finish it all off.

I hope you enjoy my shaker card, and try one out for yourself.  It would make such a wonderful surprise for your loved ones.  Remember that the shop has a whole entire section of ribbons and fibers for all of your holiday card making/crafting needs.  Have a wonderful day!
