Beautiful Fuchsias

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share with you a A6 top folding card I created with the new Fuchsia Bouquet stamp from Heartfelt Creations and beautiful ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

First, I stamped the image on Canson 140lb cold press watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I also clear embossed the ink before coloring.  I then water-colored it with my Spectrum Aqua markers.  I cut it out with a rectangle spellbinders die and before I took it out I inked the edges with Old Paper Distress ink which created a clean border around the image.  I matted it with black and purple cardstock.  The patterned paper in the background is also from Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters Collection.  The sentiment is from the new Anna Griffin Minc Foil starter set.  It is hard to see in the picture but I foiled it with purple metallic foil.  I then matted it onto black cardstock and fussy cut around the edges.

I used ribbons and lace from really reasonable ribbon to create a band around the card.  They are 1.5" Ivory Crochet Lace and 5/8" Plaid Purple Ribbon.  I also created a triple loop bow with the same plaid ribbon and my Bow-It-All tool.  I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful with flowers and ribbon.  Have a wonderful day!

Red, White and Blue Challenge at RRR

Hi there Crafty Peeps!  It is time for another challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Bonnie is challenging all of us to use the theme of Red, White and Blue plus ribbon to create something fun.  This could be patriotic themed for the upcoming Memorial Day and 4th of July Holidays in the US or just something for every day with those colors.

I couldn't resist creating another fabulous card with my 2015 Patriotic Creativity Kit from PollysPaper Etsy Shop.  I inked all of the digi papers around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  I then layered several of them together on a mat of dark red cardstock.  I created a triple loop bow with the new Electric Blue Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon from the May Ribbon Club Kit.  I then topped it with a large red glitter enamel dot.  I hope you like the card and it inspires you to go create something for this new challenge.  Have a wonderful day!

Fun With Foil

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share a card I made with some fun new products I have been absolutely itching to try.  If you follow the latest crafty trends, I am sure you are well aware there is a craze right now for anything foiled.  I decided to jump on the band wagon and I am hooked!

I used Heidi Swapp Minc Foil in Rose Gold and Mint.  I also used her butterfly die cut laser images and her laser printed die cut tags.  I foiled all of the laser printed pieces with my laminator. The papers are from the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit.  I wrapped Priscilla White Crochet Lace around the card to created a border between the two different patterned papers.  I also made a simple double loop bow for the top of my foiled tag with Aqua Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I added three different sized dark gray flat backed pearls to the center of the butterfly for some added interest.

This technique is so easy and fun.  You can create so many wonderful cards and other décor with very little effort.  It is also relatively inexpensive.  I encourage you to give it a try.  Have a wonderful day!

Really Reasonable Ribbon May Blog Hop

Hey there!  Today is the day for the May Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The design team and I have cooked up some beautiful projects with the new Red, White and Blue Assortment .

If you are following along you should have come here from Ginny's Blog.  If not, head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to start at the beginning.

For my card I used several digital papers and images from the 2015 Patriotic Creativity Kit from our very own Ginny's PollysPaper Etsy Shop.  I matted the background paper and the vintage digital image with deep red cardstock.  I also inked all of the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  I popped up several layers with foam tape to add dimension to the card including the banner. I created a triple loop bow with Diamond Satin Poppy Red ribbon and my Bow-It-All tool.  I then added some Mulberry flowers in blue and red as an accent to the bow.  As a final touch, I added some Stickles in diamond to the stars on the banner and the wreath in the image.

I think this patriotic card would be perfect for both Memorial Day and the 4th of July.  I hope you enjoy it!  Now head on over to Bonnie's Blog which is the next on our hop.  Have a wonderful crafty day.

Summer Bouquet

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share a card I made using the Azalea stamp set from Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley and ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock.  I then colored it with my Tombow Dual Brush Tip Markers.  The paper I chose was paper that I have had in my collection for quite a while by My Minds Eye.  The ribbons I used were Vanessa White Crochet LaceMoss Green Gingham Ribbon, and Cotton Candy Baker's Twine tied into a white button from MFT.  I added a little sparkle with three pink adhesive gems from BoBunny.  I hope you enjoy and have a lovely day!
