Take a Picture

Hi everyone!
Wow, I am finally back on here.  I have been taking a long break from card making trying to rest.  I have been dealing with a terrible bout of Gout in my wrists, hands and feet.  My hands have been so sore at the end of the day I couldn't even think about spending time down in my craft room.  I really pushed it this week and decided to participate in the sketch challenge over at There She Goes.  I just love this "Oh Snap" stamp set illustrated by Torico, and I haven't had a chance to use it, so I busted it out.

I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  I have not used them in so long.  It was fun to color with them again.  The DP is MME Chalk Studio Collection.  I just love this paper collection!  I am a sucker for anything chalkboard related lately and the cameras on the chalk paper fit the theme perfectly.  I hope you enjoy the first card I have created since coming back from my hiatus.  Have a wonderful week, and stay crafty!

Summer Card Class Week 1 Day 5 Challenge

Hi everyone!  This is the card I created for the day 5 challenge.  I was inspired by Kristina's window card.  The background was stamped using the Best Mom Ever stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment and cupcake was from the Cupcake Party stamp set that I received in my monthly Simon Says Stamp card kit.  I hope you enjoy it, and if you would like to know more details, there is a detailed list of supplies at the end of the post.

Stamps: Best Mom Ever and Cupcake Party by Simon Says Stamp

Paper: Bazzil Marshmallow cardstock; Echo Park "Sweet Girl".

TSG- Case A Trendsetter

I decided to make a last minute entry for the TSG CASE a Trendsetter Challenge.  I loved the card that Wendy Price made below and knew right away what stamp set I wanted to use.

Isn't her card just adorable!  I love that little panda and how she used the bamboo to make a background.  I decided to use the TSG Under The Weather set.  I used the umbrella borders to make a background with Versamark ink.  The DP is Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm.  I colored her and the cloud with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced her dress, boots, and umbrella from the same paper collection.

It is hard to see in the overall view, but close up you can see I used Glossy Accents on her boots and umbrella tip.  I used red Stickles on the heart on her umbrella and Waterfall Stickles on the rain drop hearts.

I hope you enjoy my rendition of Wendy's card.  Have a wonderful week and stay crafty!

CAS

Here is my entry for this weeks CAS challenge over at There She Goes.  I have to say it took a lot of restraint to keep this card so simple, since I just love to add and add.  I think in the end though it really made my colored image the focal point of the card, which is great!  I might have to try this again.  I hope you enjoy my card and have a wonderful week!
