Holiday Wishes

I created this card for this weeks inspiration challenge at There She Goes.  I decided to take a stamp set that isn't really Christmas themed and make it Christmas themed with my papers and sentiments.

The stamp set is called Scent-Sational from TSG.  I just love this little skunk with the present, and it just goes to show how versatile the stamps are from TSG.  I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment and snowflake stamp are from Echo Park.  I embossed white cardstock with my Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and then inked it with Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry.  The DP is "Jolly and Bright" by Recollections.  I added a little sparkle to the package and the sentiment with Stickles.

The inside is finished with the same materials.  I created the background with more snowflake stamps and the same Distress Ink.  I hope you enjoy this card, and have a wonderful week!

Happy Holidays

I decided to make a last minute entry for this weeks sketch challenge over at There She Goes.  I am waiting for all my new wonderful Christmas and holiday stamps from TSG to arrive in the mail, so I used a stamp set from Unity called Penguin Coolness.

The paper is Sleigh Ride from Crate Paper.  I stamped the little guy in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  His little banner was stamped in Barn Door Distress ink.  I colored his little nose in with a Distress Marker in Orange Marmalade.  I added stickles to the snowflake he is holding.

I finished the inside with the same materials.  I left a little blank space for a personal message.  I hope you enjoy this little penguin card as much as I do.  Have a wonderful week!

Merry Christmas

Hi there,
Wow the last few weeks have been super busy.  I participated in a huge craft fair last weekend, and with hosting Thanksgiving this week, I haven't had a moment to make cards.  I finally had a chance this weekend to sit down and create.  I whipped up this little card for the MFTWSC99 sketch challenge.

I had fun using my new MFT Seasonal Sentiments stamp set and their Winter Wreath Die-Namic.  The DP is Holiday Style by October Afternoon.  I embossed the bottom piece of red cardstock with a Holly embossing folder by The Paper Studio.  I added mini red jingle bells to the wreath for berries.  The sentiment was stamped on to a mini tab Die-Namic cutout.

The inside was finished using the same stamp set and DP.  All the edges were punched using my corner chomper.  The sentiment was stamped using my Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Peeled Paint and Barn Door.  I hope you enjoy the first of my 2012 Christmas cards.  Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi everyone!  I made this card for the TSG179 Pumpkin Spice Challenge.  The challenge was to use the colors of Kelly's favorite fall drink, Pumpkin Spice Coffee.

I used the Bountiful Blessings stamp set from TSG.  I know I just used this for my entry last week, but I really really love this stamp set!  I could not resist using it again.  I colored it in with my Spectrum Noir markers, and added a little sparkle with my Sakura Gel Pen in Clear Star.  The DP is We R Memory Keepers Autumn Splendor.  It is from last year, but it is my ultimate favorite fall DP to date.  The lacy border was created from an EK success punch.  Lastly, I created faux stitching around the card using a white Sakura Gel pen.

The inside was finished with the same materials I mentioned above.  I hope you have a wonderful fall week, and stay crafty!

Happy Halloween!

Hi Everyone!  What a hectic week!  I am so glad to finally sit down and post this card I made, believe it or not, last weekend for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 170.

This cute little Witch is "Hilda & Luna" Sweet November Stamp by Amy Young.  The greetings are from the AmyR Stamps set "Ghostly Greetings".  The DP is Doodlebug "Haunted Manor".  I created the background to the witch with my Tim Holtz Distress inks in Dusty Concord, Spiced Marmalade, and Shabby Shutters.  I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I added a little Stickles in Diamond to the edge of her hat band and belt.  I paper pieced the skirt, hat brim and hat top with the same paper line.  The flair button is from Studio G.

The inside is finished with the same designer paper.  There is plenty of blank space for a personal message.  I hope you enjoy my card even though I am posting it after Halloween.  Have a wonderful weekend, and stay crafty!

Thankful For You

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are keeping warm, and for anyone on the east coast, please stay safe.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Here is the card I created for this weeks Wednesday Sketch Challenge at MFT.

I used the cute PI Pumpkin Patch Girl stamp set for this card.  I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers on Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock by Crafter's Companion.  The designer paper is from the Autumn Spice collection by Lily Bee Designs.   The flower and sentiment banner are cut from the Flower and Leaf Trio and Sentiment Strips Die-Namics.  I added Stickles in Orange Peel to give the pumpkins a little extra bling.

I finished the inside with the same materials as the outside of the card.  I hope you like this little fall card I whipped up for the challenge over at MFT.  Have a wonderful week!

Bounty of the Season

Hi everyone!  I just got back from a wonderful scrapbooking and card making weekend with friends.  It was just wonderful!  I created this card for this Weeks Sketch challenge at TSG.

I used the Bountiful Blessings TSG stamp set, and paper from the Autumn Spice line by Lily Bee Designs.  The stamp is colored in with my Spectrum Noir Markers on Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock by Crafter's Companion.  I added a little Stickles in Diamond to make it sparkle.

The inside is finished using the same materials.  Thank you so much for droping by and viewing my blog.  Have a great week!

Best Witches

I made this card for the sketch challenge this week over at MFT (MFTWSC94).  I used the Little Witch stamp set for this card along with the Spider Web sentiments.

The DP I used is from DCWV Bewitched.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color parts of the witch in, and then paper pieced her dress and hat.  I then fussy cut her out and adhered her with pop dots to maker her stand out from the background.  I embossed the plain orange cardstock with my Swiss dots folder to make it stand out a bit.

The inside was finished with the same materials.  I added the sentiment to the inside, and left some blank space for a personal message.  I hope all of you enjoy this card.  Have a wonderful week, and as always, stay crafty!

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone!  After a super long hiatus, I am back doing what I love again.  I apologize for my long absence. I was struggling with some personal things for the last month, and really just needed to focus on getting myself back to myself so to speak.  I am so happy to say my first project back is for this weeks Challenge #177 over at There She Goes.

I got to use one of my favorite Halloween sets "Bugs and Hisses" from TSG.  The DP is "Black Widow" from We R Memory Keepers.  I used my Tim Holtz Distress inks in Spiced Marmalade, Dusty Concord, Wild Honey and Shabby Shutters to ink up a spooky background.  The twine is Halloween twine from Doodlebug.

Of course, none of my cards would be complete without a little bling.  I used orange peel stickles for the tree and ghosts.  The sentiment was inked in white pigment ink, and then heat embossed with some glitter embossing powder.  I thought it gave it a spooky iridescent look.

I finished the inside with another cute stamp and sentiment from the same set.  I hope all of you enjoy my card.  I promise there will be plenty more to come now that I am feeling better.  Have a wonderful fall weekend, and as always stay crafty!

Let's Eat Cake!

I created this card for the SSSC166 challenge.  My dads birthday is coming up at the end of this month, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make his card.

I used stamps from the Simple Stories and Unity Happy Day set called "Life's Short... Eat Cake".  I stamped the cake in Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade.  The sentiment is stamped in Distress Ink  Tumbled Glass.  The papers I used are from MME Follow Your Heart Be Amazing collection.  I really wanted to keep this card simple and masculine for my dad, but I had to add a little flair with Stickles on the cake and a Spellbinders Picot Circles Die.  The banners are canvas banners from Prima.  The burlap twine is from MME.  I machine stitched around the papers with white thread.

The inside is finished with all of the same materials as the outside.  I left a little area blank for adding a personal message.  I hope you enjoy this card.  Please leave comments or questions below.  I always love hearing from you.  Have a wonderful Labor Day, and as always, stay crafty!

Welcome Fall

I created this card for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge (MFTWSC87) over at MFT.  I just love this little ALM stamp.  It makes me long for crisp weather and the leaves turning colors.

I stamped on to Ultra Smooth Premium cardstock from Crafter's Companion with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I then colored her using my Spectrum Noir markers.  The paper collection is an oldie but goodie from We R Memory Keepers called Autumn Splendor.  This is one of my favorite fall collections of all time, so I bought a lot when it came out last year, lol!  The scallop borderlayered rose, and mini tab are Die-Namics from MFT.  I tied the button off with natural twine from the Prairie Trims kit at Montana Misfits.  I used brown thread to do a messy machine stitch around my papers.  Last but not least I added a little sparkle to the pumpkin using Stickles in Orange Peel.

I finished the inside with the same materials as the outside.  I added another little sentiment, and left the rest blank for a personal message.

I hope you enjoy this little card, and start welcoming fall!  Please leave any comments or questions below.  I always love hearing from you!  Happy Labor Day Weekend, and as always stay crafty!

Poppies!

Today I am featuring a card I made for the TSG171 sketch challenge.  I used a set that I have had around for a while, but it is still one of my favorites.

I used some papers from Basic Gray's Paper Cottage collection.  I stamped my image on Ultra Smooth Premium cardstock from Crafter's Companion.  The image is colored using my Spectrum Noir markers.  The natural linen weft is from Montana Misfits Prairie Trims kit.  I used my sewing machine to do some messy stitching in brown thread.   To finish it off, I added a little sparkle to the butterfly and the Poppy in the sentiment with some Stickles in Diamond.

The inside is finished using the same materials.  I added a sentiment and left a blank area for a personal message.

I hope you enjoy the card.  Please leave any questions or comments below.  I always love to hear from you!  Enjoy this wonderful holiday weekend, and as always, stay crafty!

Picture Perfect

Hi again!  This is my labor of love for this weeks MFTWSC86 sketch challenge.  I purchased this PI Picture Perfect stamp set from MFT a few weeks ago and finally got the opportunity to use it.  I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir markers.  The paper is MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally.

I distressed all of my paper edges.  The Doily was cut using a spellbinders die, and then I sprayed it with Turquoise Perfect Pearls Mist by Ranger.  The mat behind the little girl is Kraft cardstock painted with an acrylic paint dauber in Snowcap by Ranger to give it some worn texture.  I then inked over the paint with Distress ink in Broken China and Walnut Stain.  I added a little stickles in waterfall to her barrette.  The flower is the new Layered Rose Die-namic by MFT.  I added some antiqued lace and burlap twine to the bottom.  The lace in from Joann Fabric, and the twine is from MME.  Two gold mini brads from Michael's finish the card off.

I left the inside very simple with room for a personal message.  I hope you like this card for the MFT sketch challenge.  Please feel free to leave any comments below.  I love hearing from my viewers.  Have a wonderful week, and stay crafty!

There She Goes Sketch Challenge 170

Hi Everyone!  It has been so crazy around here the last week, I was pleased when I got some down time to play in my craft room.  This is what I created for this weeks TSG 170 sketch challenge.  This cute lady is from the Poultry in Motion stamp set.  The papers are from MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally.  I colored her using my Spectrum Noir markers.  Her apron is paper pieced along with her oven mitts.  I stamped the Cherry pie, and colored it with my markers.  I fussy cut it out and layered the oven mitts with the pie to make it look like she was holding it.

I embellished with brown Grosgrain ribbon and some red button brads.  I added a just a touch of red stickles to the ruffles around her apron.  I cut out the sentiment using the sentiment strips Die-namics from MFT.   The inside is finished using the same papers and another cute sentiment from the set.

I hope you enjoy this card I have created.  Please leave comments or questions at the bottom.  I always love hearing from my viewers.  Have a great week, and stay crafty!

Polished to Perfection

Hi everyone!
I am so excited to post the card I made today for the MFTWSC84 challenge.  I just purchased this darling little ALM Polished to Perfection stamp set last week from MFT, and I could not wait to use it this week!  I stamped her on Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock by Crafter's Companion.  I colored her using my Spectrum Noir Markers (see below for colors), also from Crafter's Companion.  I paper pieced her skirt with paper from the MME Miss Caroline "Howdy Doody" collection.  This collection is used through out the card as well.  The scallop border, mini rolled roses, and banner are Die-Namics from MFT.  I used some cream grosgrain ribbon from Hobby Lobby for added cuteness.  The little pearl additions to the sentiment and the roses are from Hobby Lobby as well.  I finished off the nail polish bottle with a little Stickles by Ranger in "Tropical Tangerine".

The inside of the card is finished with the same paper line.  I decided to keep it simple for a personal message.  I just stamped an outline of the little lady poking her head in with the nail polish.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I certainly had a great time making it!  As always please leave any comments or questions below.  I love hearing from all of you!  Have a great week and stay crafty!

Enjoy Life

Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing a card I made for the TSG168 Get Sentimental challenge.  I purchased this adorable stamp set called Enjoy Life from TSG's new August release.  I was so excited to be able to use it for this challenge, and a challenge it was.  I really wanted to include an image in the card, but didn't know how to still keep the sentiment as the focus.  Then last night when I was doing my usual tossing and turning in bed it hit me!  I knew exactly what I could do, and here it is....

The answer to my dilemma was vellum!  I stamped the cute little ice cream cone on white paper and then place the sentiment over it on vellum.  The ice cream cone is stamped using Green and Pink pigment ink from Studio G.  The dark pink scoop is stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry (part of his summer seasonal inks).  The cone is stamped in Jenny Bowlin Brown Sugar.  The cardstock is from Coordinations.  The DP is "Six by Six-Dwell" by MME.  I machine stitched the papers.  The brads are from Michaels, and so is the magenta ribbon.  I just love how the polka dots on the ribbon coordinate with the paper.  The flower was made using the new Layered Rose Die-namics from MFT.  I placed a button in the center and tied a bow through it with Scrapper's Spools in Carnation by Karen Foster Design.

This image above gives you a little better look at the vellum layering.  The sentiment was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  The ice cream scoops and cone were stamped in pieces.  I started with the smallest scoop and moved down, ending with the cone.  I masked off the previous layer each time so I could stamp over it with the next layer.  This created a wonderful stacked appearance.

I left the inside very simple with another stamped ice cream cone in the same colors.  Once again I machine stitched the inside.  There is blank space for writing a personal message.  I hope you enjoy this card.  I really have to say I am pleased with how it turned out.  Please leave any comments below.  I love hearing from all of you.  Have a wonderful weekend, and stay crafty!
