Welcome to the January Craft Hoarders Anonymous Hop! You should be coming to my blog from Glenda Brooks blog. After visiting me, hop over to Tracey Sabella's blog next! To start at the beginning of the hop, and for the full list of Bloggers, go to Gloria's Blog!
I have been subscribing to the Simon Says Stamp card kit for a couple of years now. Every month a box full of coordinating papers and ephemera are sent out with a beautiful stamp set. I unfortunately rarely end up getting the time to use them. They get placed in a labeled ziplock bag and sit collecting dust in my craft room. It really is a shame, so I have made it one of my New Year's resolutions to make at least one card with every kit that gets sent to me. All of the products in my card this month were included in the January Card Kit except for the wood veneer snowflakes. Those are from a long hoarded package from Studio Calico.
I started with an A2 base cut from lilac cardstock. I then layered two different patterned papers onto the base. I wanted to use some of the stamps provided, so I created my own stamped background panel with white cardstock, SSS Fog ink and SSS Sea Glass ink. I added two hand cut fishtail flags to the top. I then layered an Ice block and two cute Penguin die cuts images to the lower corner. These came on a cardstock sticker sheet. I stamped the sentiment on a thin white strip of paper and pop dotted it up above the critters. To finish the card, I added two painted wood veneer snowflakes, enamel dots, rhinestones, and a snowflake sequin.
I hope you are enjoying the hop so far, and it inspired you to use some of your hoarded supplies. Please make sure to visit all of the other blogs on this hop and leave the talented ladies some love. Have a wonderful day!
